Lunch Catering Pittsburgh: How to Order for a Group
What Lunch Catering Covers
Lunch catering in Pittsburgh means a restaurant prepares a midday meal for a group, then either delivers it or lets you pick it up. Pita My Shawarma caters lunches and meetings, and we offer halal and vegetarian options. Full-service catering with servers is available if your lunch needs staff on site. Lunch is often the main meal of the day for a team, so plan the menu to feel filling and easy to eat. Contact us to discuss the number of people, the time you need food, and the type of lunch you want.
Choose a Lunch Format
Lunch orders work well when guests can serve themselves quickly. Pita wraps are easy to hand out, though they contain gluten, so label them. Rice bowls over Lebanese rice let each guest add their own toppings, and our falafel wrap comes with tarator (sesame) sauce for a different flavor. Lebanese salad and fresh vegetables add lightness to the spread. If guests will eat at their desks, choose items that pack neatly into containers and do not need to be served straight from a hot tray. See the full menu on our menu page.
How Much to Order
Start by asking how long the lunch will last and whether it is the main meal or a side to a longer event. As a common starting point, many planners plan one main for each guest, then add sides and salads to fill out the table. If guests will have a long gap before dinner, add more food. If lunch falls during a workshop or training session, plan for people to come back for seconds, and ask whether extra items can be added for the group. Tell us your estimate, and we can help you balance the menu.
Cover Dietary Needs Up Front
Group lunches often include guests with different diets. Our chicken shawarma is listed as halal on our menu. Our gluten-free vegan falafel and house-made hummus give vegetarian and vegan guests options, and fresh vegetables round out the spread. Pita contains gluten, so keep it labeled. Please confirm your own requirements before ordering, and ask your guests to share needs with the person placing the order.
For large orders we ask for at least 24 to 48 hours notice. Pickup is always free, so a small team can collect the order from 3716 Butler St in Lawrenceville. Delivery is available within a 10-mile radius on orders over $200. We serve Allegheny County, including Downtown Pittsburgh, Oakland, Shadyside, Squirrel Hill, the Strip District, and Bloomfield. Our locations page has more details.
If you need food at a specific time, share the pickup or delivery window at least a day ahead, so the order is ready when your group is. Plan a little extra time for setup if you are serving in a room that has to be arranged first.
